There was a joyous atmosphere at St. Peter's Church in Woodmansterne as we celebrated the induction of Reverend Alison Elson as the new Rector. The sermon was led by the Bishop of Croydon, and we were joined by the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead.
The ancient Parish of Woodmansterne contains parts of a number of wards, including Coulsdon Town - and as a result, the church was packed with residents from across Surrey and Croydon.
I wish Alison all the best in her new role.
